Topic: Facilitation and Processing
Goal: To lead a successful discussion with the students about their experience with on-campus living and their relationship with the fellow, roommates, hall mates, and Resident Advisors (RA) of their residence hall. Also summarize how to apply for housing for the following year.
Activities: Give a background of my living situation freshmen year and my experiences as an RA in a freshmen building for two years. Hold a discussion about the students’ own living experiences and go over the choices of living they have for their sophomore year.
Evidence: Include a summary of the students’ remarks and a brochure summarizing how the housing application/sign-up process works and include descriptions of the various residence halls they could live in.
Topic: Utilizing Campus Resources
Goal: Review some of the more important campus resources the might not be common knowledge to freshmen students.
Activities: Create a scavenger hunt to be completed in class to ascertain how well informed the students are of on-campus resources they might need over the course of their collegiate life.
Go over resources that the class was not aware of or was not sure about and create a cheat sheet for the students summarizing these resources.
Evidence: Include a copy of the scavenger hunt guide sheet and cheat sheet that I created. Also include copies/pictures of the assortment of physical objects that the students were required to find (AEC orange card, free chapstick at health services, general education guidebook at University College, etc.)

Goal: Successfully plan and implement a class the covers the benefits of the Academic Enhancement Center.
Activities: Conduct an overview about the benefits of the AEC
Hold a discussion with the students about how they believe the AEC might benefit them (better study habits, tutoring help, essay editing, etc.)
Hold a tutoring session for them outside of class for MTH 110 (the majority of the class is enrolled in MTH 110 for the semester).

Also include a summary of how the class believed the AEC could assist them and a write-up of what topics were covered in the tutoring session held outside of class time. Possibly include pictures of an exam preparation session.
